What do ten metal screws and a titanium plate give you?

A funny looking x-ray, for starters. And a story.

That's Holly Payne's left leg, her left femur to be exact. It didn't always look that way. On June 6, 1994, she was struck by a drunk driver on a mountain road in Colorado. She lay on her back outside a local cemetery, looked at the mountain peak jutting into the sky and determined that if she lived, she would write -- and the Skywriter was born. She survived with a few broken bones, learned to walk again, studied, practiced then taught storytelling for 15 years, publishing three novels.

The Birth of Skywriter Books

In 2008, upon completion of her third novel, Kingdom of Simplicity, Holly Payne sought a different kind of publishing experience. She saw the need to help herself and other writers form a healthy and empowering publishing partnership and launched Skywriter Books' imprint Third Eye iii to publish her third book. Throughout 2009, she engaged other industry veterans who also sought a different publishing experience, seeing the opportunity to collaborate and achieve both of their goals: to see good books and good writers succeed. Her team is pleased to announce their publishing consultancy and look forward to serving other writers and published authors with the highest quality editing, coaching and publishing strategies.

Skywriter Books honors the sacredness of storytelling and serves those whose work Inspires, Enriches and Awakens.
